About Framed Quilts: After moving to Minnesota in 2023, I took an intentional pause with clay while I figured out my new surroundings. But I still had to make. I had a revelation with the quilt “It is ok to go slow, to be bold, and push through the hard times.” when I made a custom binding that extended the patchwork beyond the main quilt. I began experimenting with smaller quilts and built frames that I could paint to look like the binding I’d made on the larger quilt.
